My Summer Romance #RippedBodiceBingo TBR

This is a bingo created by the Los Angeles romance bookstore, The Ripped Bodice!

It runs from June 1-August 31. For each row you complete, you can enter to win prizes! I thought it would be good to try this kinyd of reading challenge along with the MarvelAThon so I would get more information about how reading challenges work for me.

BINGO card summer rom

Here is my TBR for this challenge! All romances, of course. As I did with #MarvelAThon, I am selecting 4 potential options for each square because options help me, as my reading capacities are shaped by so many factors outside my control.

I list pairings and bi, pan, ace spec and trans identities where I know them. Books by authors of color are starred*. (Please let me know if this information is inaccurate.)

  1. Carriage sex is such a specific category 😀

The mermaid ones are all great, and I really want to read Like Water. Also, Moon-Bright Tides is pretty short so it’s great for Readathons where you have to read a lot.

    What exactly does PNR mean?

    1. PNR means the subgenre paranormal romance! It includes most fantasy & is esp associated with urban fantasy (e.g. shifters and vampires fall in love!) .

    2. I am excited about ALL the mermaid ones, I have no idea how I will pick.

Carriage sex was one of the hardest categories to find books to try. Esp as I rarely read historical romance.

      1. Some of these prompts seem like it would be tough to find books for them unless you’ve already read the book, too. Like, how do you know if there’s carriage sex without reading the book?

      2. I chose mine through other people’s recommendations for that one! (I did include some rereads for this challenge, because I often reread my faves.
